A Weekend Guide to Downtown Greensboro in July
If you haven’t spent a full weekend exploring downtown Greensboro lately, July is the perfect time to do it. The city is alive with events, the patios are open, and there’s genuinely something happening every single day. Here’s our ideal weekend itinerary for downtown GSO this month.
Saturday Morning
Start at a downtown café and grab your coffee to go. Head to LeBauer Park to enjoy the morning before the heat kicks in. It’s one of those simple Greensboro pleasures that never gets old.
Saturday Afternoon
Stop into the Marshall Muse Gallery, especially if it’s the second Saturday of the month — they host free Open Studio events where you can watch local artists at work. Then wander South Elm Street to browse shops and scope out where you want to eat.
Saturday Evening
The Bearded Goat is calling your name. Saturday nights downtown have an energy that’s hard to find elsewhere in the Triad.
Sunday Morning
Sleep in, then head to Rhino Club for Live Lunch Sunday set. It’s genuinely one of the best Sunday traditions in Greensboro.
Sunday Afternoon
If you haven’t caught the Eastern Music Festival yet this summer, Sunday afternoon is a great time to check the schedule at Dana Auditorium on the Guilford College campus. Evening concerts start at 7:30pm and are worth every penny.
Downtown Greensboro in July is something special. Get out there and explore it.
