Every city has its well-known spots — and then it has the places that locals quietly love and visitors rarely find. Greensboro is full of both. As we wrap up July, we’re shining a light on seven local gems that deserve more attention. These are the places that make living in the Gate City genuinely great.
1. Gateway gardens

2. Guilford Courthouse National Military Park

3. Elsewhere Museum
A living museum and artist residency created entirely from the collection of a former thrift store. There’s nothing else like it. If you haven’t been, go.
4. Summerfield Farms
Just outside the city, Summerfield Farms is a working farm with a bakery, market, and events all summer long. A perfect half-day escape from the city.
5. Revolution Mill
The former Cone Mills facility has been beautifully redeveloped into a creative campus with restaurants, offices, and event spaces. Worth a visit just to appreciate the architecture and history.
6. Hops Burger Bar
Local, beloved, and consistently ranked among the best burgers in the Triad. If you somehow haven’t been, correct that immediately.
7. Grasshoppers Game
A summer isn’t complete until you check out at least one hoppers game.
